A'pieu Glycolic Acid Cream 50ml

This is an incredible moisturizer! Lightweight, gentle, great for sensitive skin, absorbs and leaves skin feeling silky soft, and is affordable too! This wears incredibly well under makeup, isn’t greasy and doesn’t pill. I will definitely be repurchasing this moisturizer!

I really liked the packaging, texture and the nice fresh centella smell with this gel cream. I have very dry skin and a gel cream like this before my retinol makes a nice barrier. The texture is very nice if you have dry skin this will absorb into your face quickly. With me having dry/dehydrated skin this gel cream alone wasn’t enough for my skin. Mixing this cream with a lightweight oil always gave my skin the added moisture and hydration my skin needs. I would get this gel cream again but not right away.

When I ordered this I did not realize that it was for people with skin problems like dermatitis and psoriasis. Unfortunately I do not have these type of skin problems. The lotion itself didn't have a strong scent one way or the other and went on easily, however it felt very greasy afterwards. Unfortunately I cannot give this a fair review simply because I do not have skin issues. I can neither recommend nor not recommend this product.

The cream came inside the manufacturing box. There was a seal underneath the lid. Expiration date is 2026/06/01. Discard after 12 months of opening. Made in Korea. Direction says: At the last step of skincare, take an adequate amount and apply to face for absorption. When I was reading the description, it sounded like the cream was made for me. I am someone with sensitive, combination skin, and troubled skin. It was easy to spread and apply, absorbent, lightweight, non-sticky, non-oily, non-irritating, and non-pilling. I believe this is fragrance-free. Smells faintly like alcohol but dissipates very fast. Nothing offensive and doesn’t linger on the skin. I ran the ingredient list through the cosmetic analyzer and nothing was highly unsafe or irritating. Overall, I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. I didn’t layer it on top of my moisturizer since I wanted to test it separately for a while. So far, I haven’t experienced any negative side effects or noticed any benefits. I always thought barrier creams were rich, thick or occlusive. This is surprisingly very lightweight. Feels like I didn’t apply anything to my face. A matte-like finish. My skin might have felt a little smoother but wasn’t moisturizing. I think this cream is better for oily skins due to that finish, or it should be layered with a hydrating serum or moisturizer. I should mention that niacinamide is quite high on the ingredient list. While niacinamide is loved by most, it is also irritating for many skins. I will update my review in the future if necessary. I also included a photo of the ingredients from the box.** ------------ *UPDATE/EDIT* I stopped using this because it wasn't preventing my pimples and it wasn't moisturizing so I'm not sure why I should continue using it. I don't feel that my skin was benefiting from this cream. Maybe this is more of a treatment that helps with redness and not a moisturizer. I guess I'll hold onto this cream and try it again on a day when I experience troubled or red skin.
